THINGS TO DO IN TENERIFE 2025

Spend the day at the waterpark

Siam Park, Tenerife’s water kingdom is already established as the best water park in the world. Set against a backdrop of spectacular Thai architecture, with everything from meandering rivers to free-fall slides, this is the setting for your own epic adventure. Blissful relaxation or adrenaline-pumping thrills? It’s your choice – just dive in!

Visit the marine park

Welcome to Loro Parque, the coolest zoo ever! This place is like a mini nature wonderland, where every animal’s home is recreated just right. You’ll be blown away by the stunning scenery, lush plants, and the park’s awesome mission to protect wildlife. Get ready to explore and meet some amazing critters while soaking up all that beauty!

Stroll down Costa Adeje

First up, Costa Adeje is one of the most vibrant spots on the island! With tons of restaurants, bars, shops, and the best nightclubs in Tenerife, you’ll find something for everyone. It’s a fancy resort on the southern coast that’s perfect for travelers who love gorgeous sandy beaches, upscale entertainment, swanky hotels, and fine dining. This awesome destination has it all—relaxation, fun, adventure, and of course, loads of sunshine!

Don´t miss out the impressive cliffs

You can't hit up Tenerife without checking out the jaw-dropping Los Gigantes Cliffs! These towering volcanic cliffs shoot up a whopping 1,970 feet and were once seen as sacred by the indigenous Guanches, who even called them the "walls of hell."

Part of Teno Rural Park, these cliffs are the star of the show in this stunning landscape. There are some cool paths that lead from the cliffs down to the sandy beaches, perfect for hiking or kayaking to soak in the views.

Whale and dolphin watching

Whale and dolphin watching is hands down one of the favourite things to do in Tenerife! Seeing these amazing creatures in the wild always leaves you speechless.

You can take a catamaran tour and head to the spots where the dolphins and whales hang out. Plus, the boat has a glass bottom, so you can peek at the cool seabed while cruising. Of course, it’s a bit of a surprise when the whales and dolphins decide to show up, but these tour guides know their stuff, giving you the best shot at spotting them!

A day at the zoo

Take a lovely walk through the gardens with its shaded areas ideal for resting and discover Monkey Park’s diverse collection of monkeys. As well as primates such as lemurs, chimpanzees and many varieties of titis, the zoo is also home to a serpentarium and a collection of exotic birds including macaws, cockatoos and even a toucan. It even has a pond with crocodiles and turtles, which can be crossed by a wooden bridge. It's a zoo with a difference.

Visit one of the largest volcanoes in the world

Teide National Park is a must-see in Tenerife and home to Spain’s tallest peak and the third largest volcano in the world! This awesome park has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2007, making it a top natural spot in the EU.

The star of the show is Mount Teide, reaching nearly 12,190 feet—it's jaw-droppingly beautiful from every angle! If you want to soak it all in, I totally recommend hiking up or taking the cable car. You’ll get to check out some amazing plants like the tajinaste rojo and Teide violet, which only grow high up in the park. It’s an adventure you won’t forget!

Go to the beach

The beaches in southern Tenerife are absolutely amazing for anyone who loves soaking up the sun by the ocean! Playa de Las Américas is the star of the show, famous for its soft golden sands and all the fun stuff nearby. You’ll find plenty of services, tasty dining spots, a cool promenade, and awesome watersports to keep you entertained. It’s the ultimate beach day!

Go hiking

You’ve gotta check out the stunning Barranco del Infierno Special Nature Reserve! This chill spot in southern Tenerife is a paradise for nature lovers and has one of the best hiking trails on the island.

The Barranco del Infierno trail is about 5 miles long and takes around 3 hours to hike. It’s super doable for all skill levels since it’s not too tricky, with just a 650-foot drop at most. The real magic comes from the views you’ll get along the way—plenty of lookout points and a gorgeous waterfall waiting for you at the end! Just a heads up: only 20 people can go in every 30 minutes, and it’s open during specific hours, so plan ahead!

A day at the mall

SIAM MALL is the place to be in Adeje, southern Tenerife—one of the world’s hottest tourist spots! This awesome open-air shopping centre has over 80 stores across two floors and tons of free parking. With Tenerife's amazing weather, you'll love the green spaces, plazas, and fountains that make it super chill.

The mall has a cool Thai vibe, complete with authentic statues and decor from Thailand. Covering 30,500 m², it’s got the best variety of shopping, dining, and entertainment around, making it a favourite for both tourists and locals. Plus, there are daily activities and a free bus service linking popular areas like Los Cristianos and Costa Adeje. With over 4 million visitors a year, SIAM MALL makes shopping a breeze!
